Twinkle Twinkle Little Star

March 12, 2017

How I wonder what you are... That's what I have been wondering for the past almost 9 months! My best friend has a little bun in the oven, and two weeks ago we had the cutest little baby shower in honor of the mom and baby to be! Since the parents want the gender to be a surprise, we decided to go with a twinkle twinkle little star theme with blue, pink, and gold colors. It was held at the beautiful Glastonbury Hills country club, in Glastonbury CT.

Handwritten letters with streamers and Star Balloons made the perfect gift table back drop.

Star cookies, beautifully wrapped Tiffany's, and fresh flowers, were all waiting to welcome the Mom to be

And then she arrived, looking cute as can be in her H&M Dress with her Mark and Graham Purse ( soon to be replaced with a diaper bag ;) )

To give these parents a good laugh when they are changing diapers at all hours of the night, guest grabbed a marker and wrote some words of encouragement and jokes on baby diapers.

Guest were invited to "Wish upon a Star" for the new baby and put their wishes in a jar for the parents to take home with them and read later. The stars could then be hung in the nursery or kept in the jar for the baby to always have.

In Lieu of cards, guest brought books to fill the baby's collection. My book of choice was The Man Made of Stars, a book I picked up at the cutest little children's boutique in Los Angeles, Rabbit Ladders.

Judging by the amount of gifts, ( especially from grandma to be) this baby is going settle in to this world quite nicely... and I can't wait!

Cheers,

Krista
